Jonathan's class put on an end of year program today to show off all they have learned this year. Here are a few pictures and video.

Each student shared something they had learned during the year. Jonathan's part was about caterpillars becoming butterflies.

Mormon Mommy Blogs is hosting a Mother's Day giveaway.

I'm blogging about this so I can enter a second time. And I put it on FB so I could enter a third time. I just want free stuff. With my luck, I'll win something baby related. Still, it's free.

Jonathan had an eye appointment today. His vision has gone from 20/20 in both eyes to 20/30 (right) and 20/60 (left) in just one year. The doctor recommended he get glasses for reading and schoolwork, but ultimately left the decision up to me. After watching him struggle to read the eye chart, I decided it would be a good idea to get the glasses. I'll post pictures in a couple days when he gets them.

Jonathan just woke up and came downstairs to tell me, "Now I have two dreams that need to be continued."
I think this kid watches too much TV.

We took Jonathan to Boondocks on Saturday. He loves this place, especially the Laser Tag. He is also finally tall enough to drive on the Rookie Track by himself. He did pretty good. We were thinking he would run into the walls or other drivers.
I even played Laser tag with Jonathan and Russ this time. I'm pretty awful, but it was fun. They have a really cool, two level Laser Tag room.

These are the toy bags I made. The two large bags we used as gift bags for birthday presents. I made a little gift card on the computer and just tied it on with some ribbon. I made the 3 smaller bags to use as gift bags for mother's day gifts and another birthday present. I used iron on adhesive to adhere the little felt flowers. Note: the cheap adhesive from Walmart isn't very good. I'll have to splurge for the real stuff next time.

A salesman rang our doorbell this afternoon. It takes me a few minutes to open the door when we have visitors because I have to put Dollie outside, barking of course. Pie refuses to go outside so she accompanies me to the door, also barking. When I opened the door today, the salesman was heading quickly down the stairs looking a little frightened. He agreed that we probably did not need the alarm system he was selling.
In addition to our canine security system, we occasionally have a feline security guard on our front porch. The neighbor's cats like our scratchy doormat. (I actually bought it just for them.) Someday I will be quick enough to get a picture.

I'm making these toy bags:

They're pretty easy, and if I think they're easy they must be REALLY easy. I think you've seen my less than mediocre sewing skills in the past. I am using them as home made gift bags for bday presents. I sent my first attempt off to a party with Jonathan today. I have a few more to make so I'll post pictures when I'm done.
